SUMMER VIOLIN CAMP

Do you remember your child's first smile? They usually learn it from mom and dad. It's a magical moment. And we'd like to commemorate it with you and your children this summer.

”Children learn to smile from their parents.”
Shinichi Suzuki

The Suzuki Summer Music School is a camp for families studying to play a musical instrument using the Suzuki method - especially a violin, cello and flute. We will enjoy a stay in the peaceful surroundings of the Vysočina, right on the banks of Medlov Pond, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Moreover, in the company of people with the same interest.

Under the supervision of certified teachers from all over Europe, we will have an intensive week full of varied activities for students, their parents and future teachers of the Suzuki method. For the very little ones, ages 0-3, we have prepared a Suzuki Early Childhood Education Class (SECE)!

THE SUZUKI METHOD
This approach is based on the premise that there is no musical talent or innate musical disposition, but that each child's potential can be fundamentally developed through exposure to an appropriate environment. Suzuki assumed that every child's potential is unlimited, not only in music, but in all areas of child and personality development. His aim was not to produce professional musicians - but he wanted music to become a natural part of life.
THE MAIN PRINCIPLES
Parents themselves play an important role - they participate in lessons, support and motivate. The child starts to try to imitate sounds he already knows, so he listens to the songs in advance. Once they have mastered them, they repeat them continuously, which has an impact on expanding memory, technical skills and enjoyment of playing. An unforgettable part of the method is also not only individual but also group teaching, which has an impact on motivation to play and practice.
SHINICHI SUZUKI
(1898, Nagoja – 1998, Matsumoto)

Japanese violinist, teacher and founder of the so-called Suzuki method. "Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens, noble human beings. If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth, and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets beautiful heart."
